She needs our help reconnecting with the single dad she ran into out and about in #Atlanta! Can you help us find this missed connection?
Her email reads:
Hey There,
I told this story to a friend of mine, and she told me I should email this show. Although I’m a very private person, I do want to find this connection that I lost.
Around Christmas this year, I went with my ex and our kid to the Center for Puppetry Arts for a Christmas show. While waiting for them at the exit, I heard this young child’s voice say “I’m mad at you”, because his dad wouldn’t let him go to the gift shop. I was surprised by how controlled the little one’s voice was and how sweet his dad’s response was to him: “that’s okay buddy, you can be mad at me. It’s just how you handle it.” So I looked up, and it just so happened, I’d exchanged numbers with his dad on a dating app nearly a year and a half ago.
We texted back and forth for a while and almost met up. However, I ended up blocking his number because my ex and I decided to reconcile at the time. My ex and I ultimately divorced.
I know what you’re thinking.. I didn’t want to approach him because he was with his kid, and I’m not sure that he would’ve recognized me because I wear my hair differently these days. Given the opportunity, I’d like to reconnect with him.
Thanks for taking the time to hear my story and hope to hear from you soon!
