A Mom’s tweet about her daughter’s school goes viral this week when the new cellphone policy is released.
And the tweet reads: “My daughter’s school released a new cellphone policy that includes “School officials can read any text messages between students, even if the text occurred outside of school hours.” Nopity, nope, nope.”
In another separate tweet, she follows up by saying “Me to my daughter: “Your phone is my personal property. If someone asks to read your texts, you tell them to call me and ask.”
Cassie, our executive vice president thinks that the school systems are overstepping boundaries and taking things a bit too far. “Administration is trying to parent outside their bounds. It’s not up to you whether or not my kid has a phone. If my kids uses a phone in your classroom and it’s disruptive to the other classmates and the learning environment, different story; Having it, not a problem and you don’t get to go through it…”
