His fiancé is deeply depressed, and Covid is to blame, but she won’t do anything about it! Does anyone have any advice?
Here’s what she wrote us:
Bert Show,
HELP. I’m really nervous for my fiancé. I have been seeing a physical, mental and emotional change in her that’s scaring me. And I can’t get her to see a therapist. I’m not a doctor, but I would say she’s depressed. Deeply depressed. And I know why.
She has been terrified of the Coronavirus. She has really bad asthma. And is terrified if she gets the virus, she
won’t survive. She quite literally hasn’t left the house in over a year! NOT ONCE. I’m not joking. She’s a social person. She loved going to work. And now she’s in complete isolation. She honestly looks terrible. Almost homeless like. There is no enthusiasm or excitement to her voice. I truly
feel I’m losing her. Is there anything I can say to her to make her see how dangerous her situation is? She refuses to open up to a therapist. Do you have any listeners who haven’t gone out of their home since the
pandemic started? Thank you. I’m desperate for answers.
