Guys have a pretty straightforward scale for determining where a girl hits on the hotness scale: one to ten. Women, (naturally), have to make things a little more complicated with their scale: the six sixes.
Now, some women are going to be 100% on board with this scale…and some are going to absolutely hate it. So, we’re not discrediting those guys who work with animal shelters, take their younger sisters ice skating on their birthdays, make us laugh, or who are discovering the cure for the common cold.
There’s SO much more to maintaining a solid relationship, but on an idyllic, pie-in-the-sky superficial level: the six sixes are it.
The main difference between the men’s scale and the women’s? It extends beyond external looks (but not necessarily beyond the superficiality of it all). Now we’re not saying that things like intelligence, humor, and ability to whip up a killer batch of chili on game day aren’t important qualities in girls that guys want – women just tend to overanalyze at first sighting.
According to AskMen.com, here are women’s six sixes:
1. A Six-Figure Salary
So, five figures is great, but six is basically the equivalent of scoring a 9.5 on the scale. Yes, we’re independent women, but it doesn’t mean we don’t like the idea of being able to to be taken care of…well.
2. At least six months since last relationship
We’re sorry it didn’t work out with what’s-her-face, but HELLO, all attention here, please. The only kind of baggage we want is the kind that goes on the plane to Paris (see point number one).
3. At Least Six Feet Tall
Yes, it’s a cliché – most women like men that are a little taller than them. So, for the vast majority, that means men need to hit six feet.
4. At least 600 horsepower in his car
Ok, ok – that might be a little over the top, but while some of us drive a second hand Kia, we’d like to see your hands wrapped around the steering wheel of something with a bigger, badder engine.
5. A six-pack abdomen
Do we really need to explain further? Sure, some guys have kegs, some have a six-pack a little further back in the fridge, but the up-front six-pack is king.
6. At least six inches below the belt
Yes, yes – it’s the motion of the ocean, etc. et al. BUT, you can’t deny biology.
