Steve Harvey said he quit his stand-up career out of fear of cancel culture ruining his TV career, which includes “Family Feud” and his new show “Judge Steve Harvey”.
“If I had tried to continue as a stand-up, there’s no way I could maintain a TV career. Because political correctness has killed comedy…Every joke you tell now, it hurts somebody’s feelings.”
Steve said most comedians have this problem. The one exception is Dave Chappelle, because of his Netflix deal. “He’s not sponsor-driven, he’s subscription-driven…
He added, “If I come back, I have to wait until I’m done [with TV]. And I’m not done…I want to do one more [special]. I’d have to call it something like, ‘Well, This Is It’ or something like that.”
