“MTV Video Music Awards” went down last night.
Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” won Video of the Year…Justin Bieber got Artist of the Year…and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” picked up Song of the Year.
The Foo Fighters won the U.S. Global Icon Award, and Dave Grohl used his acceptance speech to kind of poke fun at MTV basically having nothing to do with music anymore.
He thanked all the “past and present” people at MTV, like Kurt Loder, Tabitha Soren, Matt Pinfield, and J.J. Jackson…whom he mistakenly called J.J. Johnson before his band corrected him.
Doja Cat, the night’s host, had a great performance.
Chloe performed her new single “Have Mercy” for the first time.
Madonna and hers kicked off the show.
