All of their students are in the foster care system and have lived at at least TEN foster homes before coming to Morningstar Academy and living at the residential facility.

The pandemic has been hard on her students because SO many didn’t have great resources for at home learning. Add to that they were trying to learn how to play instruments through a screen, with no live performances, and it really took away all the best parts of being in the band! H
Not to mention, everyone’s parents were trying to work from home at the same time, so having a student practice their trombone in the middle of conference calls was not great!
