By now, you’ve probably realized that Kristin was out yesterday because her longtime boyfriend, Bart, was taken to the hospital. It was an on-the-job injury, (Bart used to flip houses, and does a lot of renovation work).
In short – he was working on laying 2,000 square feet of flooring (that’s a LOT), and on the last section of the day, he was using the table saw…and it sliced off his finger below the first knuckle. Bart was alone, but was able to call 911 and kept pressure on his wound, but doctors were unable to reattach it due to missing bone (the thickness of the saw and the angle of the injury took away some bone).
The story starts when Kristin got a phone call from Bart’s number – but it was really a strange paramedic, trying to keep her calm…
Tomorrow’s the big day when they see Bart’s finger for the first time – how are they going to handle it?
