We found a weird experiment on how to test for testicular cancer and we’ll try it out on the men of The Bert Show…using pregnancy tests. Reddit blew up recently with a story about a teenage boy who took a home pregnancy test as a joke, received a positive result, and wound up being diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Sounds like a hoax, right? Well, CNN says it’s actually possible to detect some (note: not all) types of cancer, because the Beta-HCG hormone (which are in a woman’s placenta during pregnancy – and that’s what pregnancy tests look for) is also found in some types of cancer and tumors.[jwplayer mediaid="91805"]
So, we’re breaking out the “glow sticks” (as Producer Tommy calls them), and are testing away. This could go very, very wrong.[jwplayer mediaid="91839"]
