Watch Out: The Ten Most-Stolen Cars Aren’t What You Might Think

As you might know, the most-stolen car ever made is the Chevy Corvette: one in every TWELVE has been stolen at some point.

But, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, sports cars were NOT the most stolen vehicle in 2011.  Early-model FAMILY cars were, mostly because they’re easier to break into, and most of them don’t have alarms.

The super bad news: if yours ever DOES get stolen, there’s a good chance you won’t get it back.  That’s because with more common cars like Fords and Hondas, thieves usually take them to chop shops and sell off the parts.

Here are the top ten most-stolen cars last year.

#10.)  Nissan Sentras made in 1994

#9.)  Ford Explorers made in 2002

#8.)  Dodge Rams from 2004

#7.)  Chevy Silverados from 1999

#6.)  Acura Integras from 1994

#5.)  Dodge Caravan minivans made in 2000

#4.)  The 1991 Toyota Camry

#3.)  The 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck

#2.)  Honda Civics from 1998

#1.)  The 1994 Honda Accord
