It’s going to be a while before the Fifty Shades of Grey movie hits theaters (there’s not even a script yet, although there are some delicious suggestions for the lead roles), but author E.L. JAMES already has some songs in mind for the soundtrack – and most of them come from the book.

Her preliminary list includes:

“Sex on Fire,” by Kings of Leon

“I’m on Fire,” by Bruce Springsteen . . . which E.L. says Anastasia would blast on her drive back to Washington State University.

“The Lightning Strike,” by Snow Patrol

“Witchcraft,” by Frank Sinatra

“Toxic,” by Britney Spears . . . which E.L. says would play as Christian and Anastasia, quote, “drive to chase the dawn.”

“The Blower’s Daughter,” by Damien Rice

You can find the complete list at ELJamesAuthor.com.  She also has some soundtrack ideas laid out for the other two books in the trilogy, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

The Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack includes songs by The Police, Van Morrison, Michael Bublé, Beyoncé and Coldplay…and The Fifty Shades Freed one has Aretha Franklin, Pink Floyd and Chris Isaak.
