Last night’s Dancing With the Stars featured routines that reflected the stars’ most memorable year. Judges thought Katherine Jenkins’ routine was so good that she earned the first 10s of the season, topping the leaderboard for the third consecutive week.
Jaleel White: The Family Matters actor’s suave rumba celebrated his time playing Stefan Urquelle, the cooler alter ego of his dorky Steve Urkel. White earned 25 points. In an interview with co-host Brooke Burke Charvet after the performance, White was overcome with emotion. He said, “Stephan Urquelle and Steve Urkel are my Mickey Mouse. I love entertaining people …” He just wanted to complete this week, although sources say there were tensions behind the scenes. Jaleel and pro partner Kym Johnson got into a vicious fight during rehearsal, with Jaleel calling her an ‘idiot’ after ‘flipping out’.
After their dance, he said: “Kim has been strong for me all week.”
White and Johnson ended up scoring a 25/30, tying them with Donald Driver/Peta Murgatroyd and Roshon Fegan/Chelsie Hightower. The three teams were a smidge under Maria Menounos and Derek Hough, who nabbed a 27/30.
