The 10 Worst National Anthem Performances…Ever

Now, we’ll admit it – we’ve all had our public flubs (unless you’re Jeff Dauler, then you’re pure perfection), but never in front of this many people. Picture it: you’re on a field, with some of sport’s highest paid – and most powerful – men staring at you. You look up, and there are thousands and thousands of fans, waiting, watching, (judging?). You start off strong, and the crowd gets riled up. The camera zooms in on your face as the millions watching at home are mesmerized by your uvula on their flat screens. And then your voice breaks. Or you miss a line. Or you mess up the words. Or you just totally, totally bomb it.

Doesn’t matter how big your career is – no one is safe. The 10 worst national anthem performances, ever:

10. Keri Hilson, 2010 at an NBA Lakers vs. Hawks game

9. Josh Groban and Flea, 2010 at the BCS championship game

8. Christina Aguilera, 2011 at the Super Bowl

7. R. Kelly, 2005 for a boxing bout

6. Steven Tyler, 2007 AND 2012 at the AFC Championship Game.

5. Aaron Neville, Aretha Franklin and Dr. John, 2006 at Super Bowl XL

4. Scott Stapp, 2005 at the NASCAR Ford 400

3. Michael Bolton, 2003 at a Red Sox vs. Yankees baseball game

2. Roseanne Barr, 1990 at a San Diego Padres game

1. Kat DeLuna, 2008 at a Dallas Cowboys game
