Teenagers And Rockstars: Why Are Young Girls So Explicitly Promiscuous At Concerts? Brian Littrell From The Backstreet Boys Weighs In

It’s pretty much a safe bet to say, that in an arena filled to the brim with thousands of screaming teenage girls, there’s bound to be a few posters littered with proclamations of love and marriage proposals aimed at the on-stage talent.

But when Bert and Kristin were at the One Direction concert for an interview with a couple members of the band, they noticed something different…pre-teens and teenagers (we’re talking of the 18 and under variety, here), with explicitly raunchy signs, carrying thongs to throw on stage, decked out in wedding dresses and a dress code comprised of clothes virtually so non-existent you almost shouldn’t be allowed to call the resulting ensemble an “outfit.”

So what’s changed? Has the libidinousness of the early teen set always been this apparent and we’ve been blind to it, is it now just poorly disguised, or has something in the cultural paradigm shifted?

Brian Littrell, from one of the 90s boyband staples, The Backstreet Boys, calls in to give us his firsthand experience (talk about straight from the source), and where it’s all going wrong:
