Instagram Bows to Peer Pressure and Goes Back to Its Old Terms of Service

Looks like the mob won this one out – the company caved to the will of the masses!

The Consumerist reports that Instagram did exactly that…and went back to its old Terms of Service.  They’ve been facing a mutiny after they unveiled a new Terms of Service that basically said they could SELL YOUR PHOTOS without paying you.

The old Terms of Service doesn’t have any language saying they’ll use your photos in ads or for commercial purposes.  They say they’re going to stick with that until they come up with a more specific plan to make money.

Apple Maps are 300% More Likely to Get You Lost Than Google Maps

Have you downloaded the free Google Maps app on your iPhone yet?   Apple has nailed a lot of things in the past decade, but their maps app just isn’t cutting it.

A company called Crowdflower just ran a study comparing Apple Maps and Google Maps to see which one is more likely to get you lost.

They entered 1,000 random businesses in the U.S. and 100 overseas to see which mapping app would do a better job giving you accurate directions; they found Apple Maps are 300% more likely to get you lost than Google Maps.

Apple Maps got the location wrong 3.4% of the time . . . Google Maps were wrong 1.1%.
