Have you used that 1040 to file your taxes? If you answered yes, then let your hair down and head to McCormick and Schmick’s where the seafood restaurant will have dinner and drink specials at the bar for $10.40 on Thursday for a Tax Relief Celebration. Plus, you’ll get a certificate for $10.40 that can be used on your next visit to the bar. On Friday, April 16, they will celebrate Tax Preparer Appreciation Day. Tax preparers get a complimentary dessert with the purchase of an entree’, and a certificate for $10.40 to be used on their next visit. You’ll have to present a business card.
Free Ice Cream Pizza
It sounds like a kid’s birthday party — ice cream and pizza. They go together well enough, but it’s hard for me to wrap my mind around an ice cream pizza. That’s the Tax Day freebie being offered this year at MaggieMoo’s. From 3 p.m.-7 p.m., you can get a free slice of the new MaggieMia’s Ice Cream Pizza. Basically, it’s chocolate cake combined with your favorite array of sprinkles, ice cream and other goodies.
McDonald’s BOGO Deal on Tax Day
Not to be left out, McDonald’s Southern Style Chicken Biscuit is buy one, get one free on Thursday. The biscuit will be offered for breakfast, and the BOGO Southern Style Chicken Sandwich is the lunch and dinner offer.
Save 15 percent at P.F. Chang’s
This isn’t an especially deep discount, but it’s one we’ll take since we rarely see any from this restaurant. P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is offering 15 percent off all orders (excluding alcohol) on Tax Day, April 15.
Tax-free shopping at Whole Foods
Whole Foods grocery stores are giving taxpayers a break on April 15. Shoppers at Atlanta area stores will save anywhere from 6 to 9.5 percent depending upon store location by not paying sales tax on any items in the store.
50% off BLT drinks
BLT Steak has a break coming for customers as well. On Tax Day, April 15, all beer, wine and cocktails will be 50 percent off. The half-off special includes bottles and glasses of wine.
Two free cupcake bites at Cinnabon
Did you know that Cinnabon made cupcakes? I certainly didn’t, but when you can get them for free, you might as well give them a try. On April 15, from 6-8 p.m., you can get two free cupcakes bites from the cinnamon bun experts.
Drinks on Whiskey Blue
