Another day, another leaked comic book movie trailer. What are people going to leak once Hollywood gets out of its current superhero obsession phase? Yesterday, a bootlegged teaser trailer for the rebooted Spider-Man leaked online. It was pulled down off a lot of sites but, you know, once it’s out, it’s out. The movie is called The Amazing Spider-Man and looks to be a little darker and a little less campy than the Spider-Man movie that came out a lifetime ago, in 2002.
The scene with Spider-Man swinging on rooftops is pretty visually cool. Andrew Garfield is the new Spider-Man. If you don’t recognize the name, he played Eduardo, the friend who gets completely screwed over by Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. Emma Stone, who seems to show up in every movie these days, plays his love interest, Gwen Stacy. The movie is due out next summer, on the July 4th weekend.
