The eighth season of Weeds, Showtime’s series about a drug-dealing mom (played by Mary-Louise Parker) and her family will be its last.
Showtime’s president of entertainment said in a statement: “We all felt that it was the right time and right way to end it. It was very important to us that we bring the story of Nancy Botwin and her family to a satisfying conclusion for the devoted fans that have spent years supporting this series.”
The final season of Weeds will begin on July 1.
