A teenager in Missouri decided to make her own dress— out of cardboard! The 17-year-old has chosen unique materials to make her prom dresses for the last couple of years.  But this year’s dress was the most challenging because of what she called its ”rather inflexible materials.”

During her sophomore year, she made her prom dress out of Doritos bags. Junior year: she collected about 4,000 soda can tabs from family, friends and Facebook requests. (It took 100 hours of weaving, plus a couple extra hours to sew it all together.)

In order to get the cardboard to move, she ended up soaking it and making it into three separate parts. After adding some spray paint and glitter, the dress was done.
