A New Jersey girl is a YouTube sensation at 17-years-old… but not by choice. The video shows the teen jumping off a chair lift at a beachside amusement park over the weekend as a storm rolled in and the power stopped. She kicked off her shoes and dropped 35 feet to the sand.

Her friend stayed in the chair. She eventually got rescued.

The girl said she jumped because the chair lift is a ‘metal death trap’ in a lightning storm.

She didn’t get hurt from the jump.
