Four US soldiers had a plan to overthrow the federal government and kill President Obama. Not all of the details about the plot have been released, but the plan apparently came out during a murder case.
One of the four soldiers was facing manslaughter and gang charges in the deaths of an ex-soldier and his girlfriend. He made a deal and turned the tables on the rest of his government-hating pals.
How serious was the plot? The four soldiers had purchased $87,000 worth of assault rifles and explosives . The group, called FEAR (Forever Enduring Always Ready), intended to attack Fort Stewart and other locations in Georgia, and they were going to bomb a dam in Washington state. They had also planned to poison the state’s apple crop.
Their ultimate goal was to overthrow the government and assassinate President Obama.
