A British woman, Emer O’Toole, is trying to change the social norms by having hairy armpits. The graduate student decided to stop shaving for good, 18-months ago, when she came to the conclusion that too much pressure is put upon women to conform to artificial gender norms.
She says she is now almost entirely comfortable with her armpit and leg hair and claims that men are unfazed by her armpit hair because they can relate.
