Some of The Bert Show tried getting into the State of The Union Address last night, but just couldn’t do it. Yeah, both parties sat together, (yay collaboration), and yeah we had bets to see how many times people stood up (too bad Wendy fell asleep mid-speech so this went uncounted), but I guess we’re just not that cultured (except Melissa, obviously).

Melissa, our responsible news editor and self-appointed “politico,” gives up an update on what went down with Obama, Gabrielle Giffords, and the obligatory impartiality of certain members in attendance. It’s all very straightforward…until we start airing the audio from the HD “unedited” version.

Part 2 of the discussion – Melissa gives some more highlights about the important issues covered – healthcare, education, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and our Bert Show cast talks about what hits home for them – Jenn gives her take on education and Melissa gives her point of view on healthcare.
