Mel Gibson’s divorce was made final last week and it turned out to be the biggest divorce payout in Hollywood history. His ex-wife, Robyn, is walking away with half his fortune, thought to be as high as $850 million. That high figure includes almost $600 million in gross profits from “The Passion of the Christ,” $100 million worth of various real estate investments, and $75 million for other film and TV projects that Gibson executive produced.
The couple was married for almost 30 years, had 7 children, and did not have a prenuptial agreement which means she’s legally entitled to half of everything he earned during their marriage.
