Lindsay and Dina Lohan were at a club in New York City until early yesterday morning. They took a limo home, but they got into an argument on the way home about whether to go to Lindsay’s apartment in the city, or back to the family home on Long Island. Dina, reportedly intoxicated, convinced the driver to take them to the house. Things just escalated from there. There was some kind of physical scuffle, because a diamond bracelet of Lindsay’s broke, and apparently cut her leg.
At one point, Lindsay placed a hysterical call to her father, Michael Lohan, saying they were taking her against her will. Michael seemed to only escalate the situation, telling Lindsay she was being kidnapped, and threatening to have the limo driver arrested by the feds. Lindsay also accused her mother of being on cocaine at the time. She said, “Dad, she’s on cocaine. She’s like touching her neck, and [stuff].” She added, “She’s saying disgusting things to me. I’m dead to her now,” and Dina can be heard in the background saying, “That’s right, you’re dead to me.”
Then she told her mother, “This is what you do. You ruin people. She’s like the effing devil right now.” Lindsay also said she gave Dina $40,000 to save her home from foreclosure. It appears that part of the problem between the two of them is that Lindsay wanted her money back. Police showed up later at Dina’s house and took a domestic violence report, but didn’t arrest anyone. A spokesman said, “Police conducted an investigation and determined a verbal argument had occurred between Lindsay and her mom Dina. There’s no criminality and no arrests were made.”
Michael Lohan says he’s the one who called 911, at Lindsay’s request. Also, he’s obviously the one who leaked the audio of their phone conversation to the media, because he says Lindsay asked him to record the call. He says, “There is a lot more to it than the police report says and it’s going to come out.” Yet, a few hours after this chaos, Lindsay was photographed hugging her mother outside the house. She was leaving to go back to L.A. for a job.
