The surviving members of TLC, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda ”Chilli” Thomas announced some big plans yesterday: They’re reuniting for a tour, a new album, and a made-for-TV movie.
Not coincidentally, yesterday was also the 10th anniversary of Lisa ”Left Eye” death. The group says Lisa will be a part of the show, but it doesn’t sound like she’ll appear as a Tupac-like hologram.
According to reports, they’re planning to “project her image on a big screen,” and “work her vocals into the live performance.” They’re
going to use archival footage, so it won’t be a new, computer-generated image, like the Tupac hologram.
The TV movie is a VH1 “biopic” about the group, and it’s supposed to air around the time they release the new album. There’s no word on
when that might be yet.
