New England Patriots safety Bret Lockett claims he hooked up with Kim Kardashian while she was with fiancé Kris Humphries. In Touch Weekly reported Lockett and Kardashian had a five-month affair behind the back of Humphries. Lockett says the story is true and so was his relationship with Kim. Kim has now threatened to sue Lockett and the magazine for defamation. But Lockett claims he has phone records, text messages and very personal cell phone pics of Kim and he’s willing to present the evidence in court.
However, when the TMZ guys asked Bret for details like where he and Kim met, he seemed stumped, and he told them that such details are irrelevant. Then he ranted about how he doesn’t want his name in the tabloids, and he only spoke to In Touch because they came to him, and told him they were going to run the story anyway.
So he figured he’d better get his side of the story out there. Ultimately, it sounds like Bret came forward mainly because Kim is claiming she doesn’t even know him. He said, quote, “At the end of the day, I respect Kim as a woman, I respect Kim as a businesswoman . . . Kim reached out to me, I did not reach out to her. ”So for her to even go on with this . . . It would have been a totally different story if Kim had said, ‘Yeah, I knew him but, you know, it didn’t go this-this-this way,’ you know, ‘It didn’t go this-that way’ . . . but she didn’t go that route.”
