Former CBS news anchor Katie Couric confirmed that she will be going to ABC for a talk show that is still being developed.Couric has signed a deal with ABC television to host and produce her own syndicated daytime talk show starting in September 2012.
The show will air at 3 pm, the timeslot owned by General Hospital, though ABC insists it has not cancelled the daytime soap. In a statement, the network said it had a “multi-year, multi-platform” agreement with Couric, that will also include appearances on all of ABC’s other news shows. Couric will be co-owner of the program and will share in the profits.
