Jesse has been going around plugging his new memoir, and yesterday, he hit The Howard Stern Show. Not surprisingly, Howard wanted to concentrate on the sexual aspects of Jesse’s life. And he asked the obvious question: “Who’s better in bed, Sandra Bullock or his current girlfriend, Kat Von D?” Jesse said: “That one is an easy no-brainer,” adding that Kat is, quote, “100 percent” better. He added, “If she cheated on me, I would forgive her and still love her.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with People magazine, he said that their emotional connection is better, too. He said, “We have something special that I’ve never felt with anyone I’ve ever been with. “She loves me like no woman ever has, 100 percent. Man, she has my back.” He added, “We like the same music, we like tattoos, we like art, everything. I believe 100 percent that she loves me and you know what? I’ve never believed that about anybody.”
Jesse later mentioned that he cheated on Sandra because he couldn’t bring himself to believe she could actually love him and he now believes he actually wanted to get caught. Jesse’s not exactly blaming Sandra for that, but he is giving the impression that he’s tired of being the villain. In an interview that aired last night on ABC’s Nightline, he said, ”I need to come out of the shadows and regain what I do best. Just because I cheated on my wife and got busted for it, and it became a whole media (crap)storm, it doesn’t mean that I’m not valuable. I’m sorry it happened. I’m sorry it went down the way it did, but I forgive myself and now I can move on.”
He added, ”I can’t worry about [Sandra] anymore, you know? I think I’ve spent a good chunk of the last five or six years worrying only about her, and what she thinks and what I should do and like, you know, controlling all my movements and everything else. And I think it’s time to worry about Jesse, and making sure Jesse is happy.”
A couple more notes from the interview: Jesse says he moved to Austin to be near Sandra so that his daughter Sunny could still have a relationship with her, but Sandra hasn’t seen Sunny in months. Also, he has nothing to do with Sandra’s adopted son Louis. She even removed his name from the adoption papers after he cheated on her.
Before we put this to rest, here’s something else worth mentioning: It’s what Jesse writes in his book about how Sandra reacted when he admitted his affair with Michelle “Bombshell” McGee. He writes, “The feeling of shame and sadness that washed over me as Sandy began to cry was almost beyond measure I didn’t touch her. I sat frozen in my chair, watching, as Sandy’s small body shook with sobs.
“She rose to her feet. She unfolded her sunglasses and put them on her face she walked steadily and purposefully to the front of the shop, opened the heavy, metal door. For a moment, the sunlight enveloped her. The door closed behind her, and she was gone.”
