Ashton Kutcher is looking for love online in a new ad campaign for Popchips, although it’s actually disguised as an ad for a dating service, and Ashton plays several characters looking for love. The Two and a Half Men plays four characters seeking romance on a fictitious dating website.

The ad tells viewers to find their “perfect match at worldwidelovers.com,” which actually redirects to the brand’s’ Facebook page. In the video, Kutcher portrays a red neck biker, a hippie, and a German fashionista. The problem? He also portrays an Indian man, causing the ad is seen as being racist…but is it really, or is it just in poor taste?

Popchips says “[The ad was] created to provoke a few laughs and was never intended to stereotype or offend anyone.

“At popchips we embrace all types of shapes, flavors and colors, and appreciate all snackers, no matter their race or ethnicity.  We hope people can enjoy this in the spirit it was intended.”
