In a New Relationship, Is It Smarter To Buy a Gift That’s Too Cheap Or One That’s Too Expensive?

The hardest person to buy a Christmas present for ha to be the person you just started dating. You have to get them something, but it’s agonizing to figure out what that something is.

Well, here’s at least a little guidance. GO CHEAP.

In a new survey, 61% of people say that if you’ve been dating someone two months or less, it’s more awkward for them to receive a gift that seems TOO EXPENSIVE than a gift that seems too cheap.

Of course, that’s vague enough that you still have to figure out your own definitions of “too cheap” and “too expensive,” but at least it’s a start. AND, since “cheap” wins, at least you get to save some money, right?
