Ex-”Family Ties” child star Brian Bonsall was arrested again for positive drug test. He had been arrested in December on suspicion of hitting his friend in the face with a stool and was released on bond. He was arrested again in a Colorado court Friday morning for violating the conditions of his bond by testing positive for marijuana. The 28 already faces third-degree assault charges in connection with the December incident and failure-to-appear charges in connection with a 2007 assault on his girlfriend.
He pleaded not guilty to those allegations in court Friday morning. A Boulder County District Court judge set Bonsall’s case for trial June 14, and then revoked his bond after the deputy district attorney said he tested positive for marijuana in one urine test and had several other diluted urine tests. Apparently, Bonsall has applied for a medical marijuana license, although she hasn’t seen that he’s been approved or that he has a medical marijuana card. Regardless, she said, the conditions of his bond were “no drugs.” He was being held at the Boulder County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
