Deathly Hallows Part 2 Reaches $1 Billion

It took “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ just 17 days to zoom to the $1 billion mark. But hot on “Deathly Hallows Part 2″‘s tail is “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, which currently stands at $983 million and is poised to join in the $1 billion fun any day now. The eight others on the list:

1. Avatar ($2.8 billion)
2. Titanic ( $ 1.8 billion)
3. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ($1.11 billion)
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest ($1.07 billion)
5. Toy Story 3 ($1.06 billion)
6. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides ($1.03 billion)
7. Alice in Wonderland ($1.02 billion)
8. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($1.01 billion)
9. The Dark Knight ($1.00 billion)
