Whitney Houston had cocaine in her system when she died. The L.A. County Coroner released Whitney’s official cause of death, which was accidental drowning. But the report also said that heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors.
A source close to the investigation said that it is very possible Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries from cocaine use.
Whitney was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel last month. Several pills were found in her room, including Xanax, Ibuprofen, and Midol. Investigators didn’t find any cocaine in the hotel room, but sources say someone removed all traces of cocaine from the room before authorities arrived.That someone was also the person who supplied it to Whitney.
Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy was shocked that her daughter was using cocaine at the time of her death, but thinks the relapse was over from her Whitney’s comeback plans. Sources close to Cissy told TMZ she believed her daughter was completely sober while shooting the movie Sparkle. But as Whitney got closer and closer to the Grammys, she started using the drug again, apparently because the show was when Whitney would make her comeback move.
Cissy is also saying that hearing Whitney was using again is like reliving her death.
