Clarence Clemons is said to be “seriously ill after a stroke at his home in Florida.” There was no info on how severe the stroke was, but this isn’t the first time that Clemons has had medical issues – including problems with his back and knees. He hasn’t missed any concerts, but the conditions caused him to have tremendous pain. In the past year, Clemons had both knees replaced and spinal fusion surgery.
Clemons last performed with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band last December. He was supposed to play the national anthem before Game 2 of the NBA Finals last week, but a hand injury forced him to cancel at the last minute. He watched the game in the stands.
