The latest installment in the Batman series – The Dark Knight Rises - opens on July 20, which marks our last chance to see Christian Bale don his Batsuit. The actor talked candidly about his feelings for the famous suit, saying that he’s going to “miss it.”
Bale explains, “You know, for all the kind of discomfort, and all the heat and the sweat and the headaches and everything from it, when you sit back and watch the movie at the end of the day you end up going, ‘That’s (effing) cool!’ So, I will. I will miss it.”
Bale also got candid talking about appearing in the third film. He says, “I knew it was gonna happen for me because I was contracted to do it, so I didn’t really have a choice. I would’ve been sued up the ying-yang, and I’d be on the street and penniless if I hadn’t have done it.”
That’s not to say that Bale wasn’t happy to do the film. He calls his character arc, “good!”
