Chris Brown has apologized for throwing a tantrum backstage at “Good Morning America” and smashing his dressing room window with a chair. During an appearance on BET’s “106 & Park”, he said, “First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really disappointed in my actions, because I was disappointed in the way I acted.” Chris claimed that before the interview, he only agreed to answer questions about his new album so he was thrown off by Robin Roberts pressing him about Rihanna. He said, “As the interview proceeded, I was thrown off. I felt like, ok, they told us this just so they could get us on the show to exploit me. I took it very, very hard.”
He added, “I kept my composure throughout the whole interview. And when I got back, I just let off steam in the back. I didn’t physically hurt anyone. I just wanted to release the anger that I had inside me. I felt like I worked so hard for this music I got very emotional.” But despite his anger, Chris asked his fans not to send death threats to Roberts. ABC continues to deny they agreed to anything with Chris before the interview “Chris Brown was invited on ‘Good Morning America’ to perform and to be interviewed. There were no talking points offered.”
