The Cast of “Love Actually” is Making a Short Movie on What the Characters are Up to Today

Have you ever wondered what the characters from “Love Actually” would be doing today, 14 years after the movie came out? Well, wonder no more… your answer is coming.

The original cast is getting back together for a short film that’ll air during NBC’s Red Nose Day comedy special on May 25th.

Sadly, we can’t have Alan Rickman, because he passed away last year. Emma Thompson isn’t involved either. She played his wife in the movie, so maybe they felt it was either too soon or would be disrespectful to his memory?

But here’s who we DO get: Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, and Rowan Atkinson…plus some of the lesser-known cast members, like the kid who played Liam Neeson’s son, and the girl he was chasing. (He grew up to be Jojen Reed on “Game of Thrones” and Newt in the “Maze Runner” movies.)

The original writer-director Richard Curtis is back, too.

He says, “Who has aged best? I guess that’s the big question . . . or is it so obviously Liam?”

Red Nose Day is a global effort to raise money to combat child poverty.
