U2 frontman Bono is now the richest musician in the world. Now that Facebook is part of the stock exchange, the website’s early investors are set to rake in huge amounts of money. Bono owns 2.3 per cent of the shares in Facebook through his private equity firm.
Elevation Partners paid $90 million for the stake in 2009. Bono’s share could be worth over $1.5 billion.That puts him well past Paul McCartney, who was the world’s richest rock star.
