Bert Thinks He’s Contributing To The Wussification Of America: How Old Were Your Kids When They Started Doing Things By Themselves?

Bert’s struggling with something: his two kids, aged four and ten, but they’re both pretty much never out of sight of an adult. He’s wondering if it’s time for his kids – especially the ten year old, Hayden, to start doing things by themselves (think: going to the bathroom in a restaurant, riding bikes down the block, etc.)

Is he just being a good dad who cares for his kids, or is he contributing to the Wussification of America? How old were your kids when you started to let them do things by themselves?
