Bert Show listener Diane is allowing her 17-year-old daughter to have sex in the home. She has really open communication with her daughter, and found out that her kid and the boyfriend were planning to have sex. After talking to her daughter, Diane talked to the boyfriend and his parents; although Diane expressed that she was against it, she relented to allowing her daughter to have sex inside the home.

Diane’s theory is if they’re going to do it anyway, she wants to provide a safe place for them and to keep that line of communication open so that she can sure her daughter gets the necessary health check-ups she needs. She’s made it clear to her daughter that there is an added responsibility to becoming sexually active - that she’ll have to be on birth control, go to the gynecologist, etc.
