Kate Hudson had her first daughter three months ago, after having two boys, who are now seven and 15.
In a recent interview, she was asked if she’s doing anything differently this time around, and she had an interesting answer.
She said, “[I didn’t] really change my approach, but there’s definitely a difference. You just raise your kids individually regardless…like a genderless [approach]. We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as.
“I will say that, right now, she’s incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds, and her way. It’s very different from the boys.”
Of course, on one level you can toss this in with all the other ridiculous celebrity dogma about parenting, which always seems unnecessarily over the top, but in practice, Kate’s parenting style might not be that weird.
On her Instagram, she’s always dressing her daughter in very girly outfits. And she talks about how she’s looking forward to going shopping with a girl, as opposed to her boys who didn’t want to wear anything fun.
So, it isn’t like she’s dressing her daughter in tan jumpsuits until she decides on her gender.
