Navigating the dating world can be hard enough, but when you finally land a date with someone you’re mildly interested in…there are a few things you need to look out for, because dang it, you deserve better than that.
Here are our dating red flags…
Yellow Card: Getting drunk on the first or second date.
Red Card: When you go out to dinner, and there’s a bad tip or no tip.
Red Card: Only talks about themselves and asks no questions about you.
Red Card: If you drive me home and you don’t wait to make sure I get inside safely.
Yellow Card: When they don’t offer to pay for the date.
Yellow Card: They order the stinkiest entree at the restaurant (garlic, fish)
Yellow Card: They have a friend conveniently call during the date (just to check in, just in case).
Red Flag: They don’t look like their profile picture.
Red Flag: When they show up late and then don’t apologize.
Red Flag: They’re on their phone the entire time.
Yellow Card: Unkempt on the first date.
Yellow Card: Talking about your ex the whole time.
Yellow Card: Picky eaters.
Red Card: You forgot your wallet.
Red Card: Rude to waitstaff.
Red Card: Puts phone during table, checks it during conversation, or answers a call.
Red Card: Making food suggestions or insinuating “are you sure you wanna eat that?”
Yellow Card: If he or she farts loud enough to hear.
Red Card: If he farts by lifting his leg because he thinks it’s funny.
Yellow Card: Answers phone twice, but says “excuse me, I have to take this.”
Red flag: if they answer texts nonstop as they come in.
Red Card: Orders the most expensive stuff on the menu, but doesn’t offer to pay.
Yellow Card: On the phone a lot (maybe it could be nerves…but not the entire date.)
Yellow Card: Not a good conversationalist.
Yellow Card: The way they dress.
Red Card: Talking about their ex.
Red Card: No manners or they don’t treat people well.
Red Card: If you go on a date and they’re looking around the room…they’re not into you. It’s a red card.
