Are you a Mom tired of doing everything with NO reward? We want to support you if you want to go on strike and leave the laundry, dishes and cleaning to your partner and kids!
One mom calls up and it breaks our heart just listening to her. She’s carrying so much on her shoulders that you can hear the stress and pain coming through in her voice.
Kids and husbands, listen up: picking up those stray socks and sticking your dishes in the dishwasher means WAY more than you realize!
It’s day one of the strike…and those houses are NOT looking good. How are the parents holding up?
We get some more updates – one family has surprisingly come to a truce…but one family’s kids are majorly rebelling!
But some listeners are calling out the moms for going on strike!
We check in with Mom Jill and dad Cass..things are actually starting to turn around!
And somebody fell off the wagon…
Mom Jill’s House
Jill has already been on strike for two weeks…and it shows. She has a “great husband” and three kids – two boys (18 & 12) and a daughter (14).
Mom Ora’s House
Ora is a single mom of three kids (two teenager and a two-year-old)…and she has to drive 67 miles roundtrip to work. After all that and a long day of work, her house looks like this:
Dad Cass’s House
Dad Cass is going on strike with mom (she works long hours). He has three daughters, aged 17, 16 and 11.
“Attached are some of the pictures I took when I got home on Tuesday.
Most of these are pre-apocalyptic, but I figured you will need a good baseline to start with, especially of the downstairs area.
The pictures of the girl’s rooms aren’t too bad yet, but we make straighten them up daily, but we didn’t ride them at all today, so they will get progressively worse. The laundry baskets are mostly full of clean clothes. They live out of the baskets because their too lazy to put up their clothes.
There are a few pictures of the girl’s bathroom, the guest bathroom, which was trashed by my oldest daughter this morning and, of course, she left her make-up just sitting out on the counter. I’ve included a few shots of the front door and back door where they drop off all of their school and cheerleading bags and then a few of the dining room table, where there is a straightening iron, a few brushes, and a toothbrush.
I’ve also included a picture of the breakfast table, which is nice and clean now, but will get trashed in a few days, if even that.”
And a few updates:
Mom Michelle’s House
Mom Michelle has three boys aged 13, 6 & 2. She has a family who’s into sports, but since her day starts at 5:30AM and ends at MIDNIGHT, she’s understandably exhausted.
