Useless App: A new app – The Ugly Meter – claims to rate a person’s level of ugliness after scanning their face. Developed by two Arizona men, the app scans the user’s face and rates his or her attractiveness on facial features, such as the size of a nose or the distance between someone’s eyes.  The app is available for iPhones and Androids.

 

Useful App: There is now an app that allows people to report discrimination at airport checkpoints. The app was unveiled by civil-rights groups led by The Sikh Coalition, who have complained for years that they are targeted by the TSA because of their turbans.

The app is available for iPhone or Android and allows people to report discrimination based on gender, race, religion or disability directly to TSA and the Department of Homeland Security. The App.
