It looks like Amy Winehouse isn’t the squeaky clean singer she’s trying to make herself out to be. She got booed at an open-air concert after getting too drunk to sing. The performance officially kicked off her two-week European tour. 20,000 people had come to the concert inBelgrade, Serbia but they left disappointed. During the concert, Winehouse could only mumble some of the lyrics. She left the stage twice while fans booed and whistled.
Amy had just finished an alcohol rehabilitation program in London two weeks ago, and media was reporting that alcohol had been banned from the tour. A few hours after the train wreck, Amy canceled part of her European tour. She canceled her appearance in Istanbul, Turkey tonight and in Athens, Greece on Wednesday.
A spokesman said that Amy wanted to say sorry to fans expecting to see her, but “feels that this is the right thing to do.” The spokesman also said that Amy will return home after feeling that “she cannot perform to the best of her ability.”
