Amanda Bynes is quickly becoming to cars what Lindsay Lohan is to… well, cars. On Friday afternoon, Amanda side-swiped a pickup truck with her Range Rover in Los Angeles and just kept going. The driver of the truck called 911 and followed Amanda to a nearby gas station.
For some reason, a police helicopter and six squad cars were deployed over this nonsense. In the end, the damage to the pickup was so minor that police bought Amanda’s story that she didn’t even know she’d made contact. So they didn’t charge her with hit-and-run. She and the other driver exchanged insurance info, and that was that.
Amanda was arrested for driving under the influence last month after hitting a police car at an intersection and they’re also going to charge her with failing to take a breathalyzer or blood test that night. A week later she backed over a curb while texting, but there weren’t any cops around, so she didn’t get in trouble for that.
In March, she got a ticket for talking on her phone while driving and she drove off before the cop brought the ticket to her car for her signature. She went to the police station later and signed it, though.
