British singer Adele announced today that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki. Adele, 24, shared the news on her blog:
Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx
The Huffington Post reports that the couple met last summer, but officially verified their relationship in January of 2012. Konecki, 36, has a five-year-old daughter from his previous marriage. This is the first child for Adele.
Let’s hope this bundle of joy packs Adele’s vocal chords – the world could use a little more of that level of talent. There’s no word yet on the due date.
