Adam Levine doesn’t regret experimenting with drugs because he thinks it provided him with a “valuable experience.”
Adam said that his experiences taking magic mushrooms and smoking marijuana helped him “understand” himself better.
He said: ”I definitely, firmly believe that the experience I had on mushrooms made me understand certain things about myself that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. What I took away from that experience was valuable and beneficial to me. It really forced me to look at myself. It’s so corny to say but it’s true; you just get in touch with the wonderment you have as a kid that you tend to lose. Obviously if you abuse a drug like that you’ll never come back and end up as a f***ing psychotic maniac.”
“It’s hard for me, as someone who does speak publicly about things, I’m not saying, you should do drugs. I hope that’s clear. I smoked a lot of pot when I was younger. There is a place in this world for a little weed every once in a while. I’ve written songs after smoking a joint and it was good. More often than not its absolute garbage.”
