63-Year-Old Diana Nyad Suffered Multiple Jellyfish Stings And Was Tailed By Sharks On Her Swim From Cuba To Florida, Yet She’s Still Inspired

Swimmer Diana Nyad, the amazing 63-year-old swimmer who has been attempting to swim from Cuba to Florida WITHOUT a shark cage, (making her the first person to do so), joins the show and gives us an inspirational speech we didn’t see coming!

Nyad faced multiple challenges on her attempt on the 105 mile swim – she was stung NINE times by the highly venomous and sometimes deadly box jellyfish, trailed by a string of sharks, (could you even imagine?), and faced volatile seas in stormy weather, and yet kept swimming.

When she was finally pulled from the water due to safety concerns for not only her live, but the lives of those along with her, her body was racked with stings, her lips were ravaged and swollen from salt water, and she was shivering (the sea water sits below body temperature, thus bringing it down over time.)

And yet, she didn’t want to stop.  If this doesn’t inspire you, we’re not sure what will.
